I need help with reddit, how does one do an update?

Hi, so I am new on reddit. How does one do updates or edits. I am sorry if that's a stupid question, it's just a little confusing to me.

How do i post an update?

Hi im new to reddit i dont know how to post an update do i just make another post with the same name as my other one or do i make it a comment or is there something specific i need to do thank you for any advice :)

Top Comment: I would like peoples favorite lesser known posts please. I feel like people ask for the same handful of posts every month, so I have read most of the ones that get posted here. I would just like to read something new. I'm not too picky, it can about almost anything, just please no over excessively gross ones. I can never unknow the jolly rancher story, and don't want another one of those stuck in my head. ETA Thank all you wonderful people
